1.  What is the installation time?
In most cases, a lawn can be designed and installed to custom fit your current landscaping requirements in 2 to 4 days.  Smaller lawns can be installed in as little as one day.

2.  Where can turf be installed?
Virtually anywhere that natural grass grows. Because of the advanced manufacturing technology of synthetic turf our turf can also be installed in areas that natural grass can’t grow such as: desert areas and extremely cold areas.  Turf can be installed on level areas with a porous base that will allow water to seep into the ground through the perforated holes in the backing of the turf. It can also, be installed on hills with slopes up to a 40 degree incline.

3.  What holds the turf down?
The turf's own weight is usually sufficient (approximately ½ lb. per sq. ft.), but we normally add infill to help the fibers stand up naturally to help prevent “matting”.  The addition of infill assists in weighting the turf down so it doesn’t shift or move once applied.  A combination of sand and rubber infill seems to the most popular.

4.  How well does the turf hold up to outdoor environments and will it fade?
Designed by our own partners, the turf is manufactured using the finest UV treated polyethylene, water resistant fibers.

5.  Does the turf have a warranty?
Four Seasons Turf warrants its products including all putting greens for eight (8) years.  We warrant our turf against manufacturers’ defects, such as excessive wear, fading and sun and other defects associated with the manufacture of the synthetic grass.  With proper customer care your Four Seasons Turf can last up to 10 years or more.

6.  What kind of maintenance is required?
Four Seasons Turf is as maintenance free as it gets! Once installed, just keep the leaves and debris off the surface. Just imagine for a moment, no watering, mowing, edging, pesticides and seeding.  In most cases that could be a savings of up to $8000,00 per year for a normal sized lawn.

7.  How much water would I really save by using your turf?
According to a water management statistics study, 75% of your monthly water bill is for outside use.

8.  How do you keep the turf clean?
Just like regular grass, use a rake or blower to clean up the leaves.  Because of the exceptional drainage abilities of  our turf  if you have animal debris, simply pick up the debris as you would on regular grass then spray water on the area to dissipate urine, etc… through the turf.  Pets usually do not chew or dig holes on turf. And urine does not stain it.

9.  What happens when it rains or snows?
Four Seasons Turf is manufactured specifically with perforated holes designed to accommodate the normal drainage requirements of rain and snowstorms. The water simply drains through the small drainage holes into the ground. The sand and rubber infill will help to absorb, hold and dissipate the water evenly.

10.  Mold, mildew and flammability?
Due to the nature of the materials used and the drainage base designed to migrate water away from the turf, mold and mildew is not an issue.
Generally speaking, the turf is much less flammable than live natural grass (and many times less flammable that dead natural grass).  The sand and rubber infill also helps to prevent a fire from spreading, and can often extinguish a fire.

11.  Why should I install turf?
Real grass lawns are expensive, they require irrigation and weekly maintenance, such as: mowing, watering, fertilizing, thatching, weeding, edging, chemical pesticides and winter over-seeding. Four Seasons Turf save you time, money and extra resources expended in maintaining natural grass.

12.  Can your kids play on the turf?
Absolutely, whether the grass is natural or synthetic turf, it is safe to play on.  However,  Four Seasons Turf is not marketing this product for safety issues, but rather for the beauty and maintenance savings issues of turf compared to that of real grass.

13.  Is the grass pet friendly?
Yes, Our turf has been used many times for dog runs. Your pet will also be protected from eating real grass that has been sprayed with harmful chemicals that could cause cancer.

14.  How is the grass priced?
The turf is priced on a per square foot basis.

15.  How much does the turf cost?
Much of the cost will depend on variables such as geographic region, ground preparation requirements, access to the area, size of the job, etc. Other variables will depend on your specific needs such as the base – is a crushed aggregate base sufficient or do you need to use a ProDrain drainage blanket.  Is there a need for a perimeter nailer board or will our standard landscape spikes work.

16.  Is the grass abrasive like Astroturf?
Four Seasons Turf is made from a polyethylene fiber which is much softer and nonabrasive compared to the nylon fibers of the old Astroturf or other nylon grasses.

17.  How hot does the grass get?
Turf does not stay as cool as natural grass which has water running through it.  However, it does not absorb and radiate heat like pavement, rock or brick.  Even through summer heat, your Four Seasons Turf will remain pleasantly functional.

18.  Will the turf harbor any bugs?
Because the turf has no organic value, the bugs have nothing to feed on and therefore will move on to a yard with real grass. Fire ants have a hard time coming up through the drainage holes and will generally find an area outside of the turf that has less resistance.

19.  What if I spill something on the grass?
Four Seasons Turf is made of non-absorbing materials that will allow you to simply clean up any spills without staining and washing the turf down to its natural color.
